Houston Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club
Great place to train if your looking for technically clean Jiu Jitsu and a clean facility. The head instructor teaches the original style of BJJ for real world situations as well as the competition style. Art actually began his training with the Gracie family and has pictures in his gym with many members of the family. I tried a few gyms before stumbling across HBJJC and immediately could feel a difference when rolling with these guys. The technique taught here is very fluid with minimal effort/strength exerted that helped me to conserve more energy and prevented me from getting gassed out so fast. They don't just hand out belts here though you really have to earn them. If your looking to maximize your ground game or your standing game this is one of the best places to go. They also have a great MMA class that combines western style boxing w/ Muay Thia, Judo, Karate and BJJ
My boys have been going to jiu jitsu for more than a year and I can definitely tell a difference with them. They have more respect for others and more energy as well. I would recommend Houston Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club to anyone looking to learn how to defend themselves while learning how to be respectful.
My son has been training BJJ with Coach Art for over a year and a half and has learned many basic and advanced moves. Coach Art is great with the kids and the kids respect him. I highly recommend Houston Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu club for kids or adults training BJJ, kickboxing, or MMA.
My oldest son and now my youngest son trains with Coach Art. They have been in his classes for over 6 years. He is very detailed oriented with his training touching on core values in his class. He really cares about the kids he's teaching and he keeps it fun so they enjoy coming and look forward to it! We are very fortunate to have him as an instructor for our sons!
